Great site. Boots on the midway, beat out some of the reporting from other carnival sites. My one complaint is that I can't click on your pictures to see more detail. But the commentary and opinions are great. I was born into the business on the Morris Hannum Show in 1950 and grew up reading The Billboard and Amusement Business magazine. While none of the outdoor amusement business web sites come close to those two titles, I find your candor refreshing. I would also like to put in a pitch for the Gibtown Carnival Museum. Any carnies with old pictures or equipment should consider donating them to the museum. I will be digitalizing my parents pictures and adding them to the collection. Thanks for all you are doing to keep the carny spirit alive in a world that now moves faster than we do...LOL Feel free to email me.
Near the bottom of this page : http://www.carnivalrevue.com/ you pose the question "Does anyone know the person reading at the Erie County Fair?"
I know her!
If you scroll down to the 7th picture from the top on this page : http://www.carnivalrevue.com/2007revuepartd.htm you will discover that you know her too!
Sorry I missed you in Concord, NC. Hope you had a great year and thanks for your comments on the show. I wish you could have seen the Gondola Wheel at night.
